  8. Sew trim 1/2" from finished edge.
  9. Mark center of outer piece and measure 7" from center to place pocket. Sew unfinished edge of pocket right sides together, then press open for a finished edge, complete both pockets having raw edges even with sides of outer piece.
  10. Lay one batting piece down and lay silver lining on top of batting.
  11. Take outside piece with pockets and lay right side up on top of batting and Silver Lining, making sure the pockets are even.
  12. Lay lining piece with right sides together on top of all layers.
  13. Pin together so all edges are even, pinning in place so that the batting doesn't move during sewing.
  14. Fold this piece in half lengthwise and measure in from fold 2" and down from top 4" and cut out a rectangle that will measure 4"x 4" for the handle. Make sure this is done on both ends of this piece.
  15. Sew together with 1/2" seam allowances leaving an opening 5" long for turning.
  16. Clip corners and inside corners of the handles before turning and press.
  17. Top stitch 1/4" around outer edges catching opening to close.
  18. Fold down handles 1 1/2" and sew to form pocket for dowel, inserting dowel before sewing second pocket to make it easier to insert dowel.
  19. Lay batting, outer fabric right side up and inner fabric right sides together.
  20. Pin and sew around edges leaving an opening 5" long for turning.
  21. Clip corners, turn and press.
  22. Top stitch 1/4" around outer edges catching opening to close.
  23. On piece without handles, sew an 8" loop side of Velcro to center top of lining side of fabric.
  24. On opposite end, measure 3" from each side and 2" from top and sew two 8" hook pieces of Velcro parallel to each other on the outside fabric. (This will allow you to fold over the inner piece to hold your casserole dish.)
  25. Center a 12" piece of Velcro (hook side) on the edge of this same piece of outside fabric and sew. (This will be used to hold the wooden square in a pocket on the base of the carrier.)
  26. Center this rectangle perpendicular to the rectangle with pockets to measure where the loop side of the Velcro should be placed and sew into place.
  27. Lay the two pieces perpendicular to each other and sew around the three edges 1/4" from the edge.
  28. Insert wooden square into the pocket created.
