    • Scrap yarn in #4-6 yarn weight
    • Size 8 double pointed knitting needles

    • Buttercream Alpaca, Sage or any #6 weight yarn

    • Fabric Glue such as Fabric-Tak
    • Lion Brand Heartland Yarn, Yosemite or any #4 weight yarn
    • A small amount of yarn in coordinating colors for the stems
    • Fall Floral Wreath
    • Needle

  • Knitted Pumpkins
    • Lion Brand Heartland Yarn, Yosemite or any #4 weight yarn
    • A small amount of yarn in a coordinating color for the stem
    • Size 8 double pointed knitting needles
    • Fiberfill
    • Yarn needle
    • Crochet hook
    • Fabric Glue
    • Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

Knitted Oak Leaves:

  1. Cast on 3 stitches.
  2. Row 1: Knit
  3. Row 2: Purl
  4. Row 3: K1, M1R, K1, M1L, K1
  5. Row 4: Purl
  6. Row 5: K2, M1R, K1, M1L, K2
  7. Row 6: Purl
  8. Row 7: K3, M1R, K1, M1L, K3
  9. Row 8: Purl
  10. Row 9: K4, M1R, K1, M1L, K4
  11. Row 10: P2tgr, P1, bind off 1 stitch, P1, bind off 2nd stitch, Purl to end
  12. Row 11: K2tgr, K1, bind off 1 stitch, K1, bind off 2nd stitch, Knit to end
  13. (5 stitches left on needle)
  14. Row 12: Purl
  15. Row 13: K2, M1R, K1, M1L, K2
  16. Row 13: Purl
  17. Row 15: K3, M1R, K1, M1L, K3
  18. Row 16: Purl
  19. Row 17: K2tgr, K1, bind off 1 stitch, K1, bind off 2nd stitch, Knit to end
  20. Row 18: P2tgr, P1, bind off 1 stitch, P1, bind off 2nd stitch, Purl to end
  21. (3 stitches left on needle)
  22. Row 19: K2tgr, K1, bind off 1
  23. (1 stitch left on needle)
  24. Cut yarn.
  25. Tuck in loose ends with crochet hook and trim.
  26. Create 8-10 leaves.

Simple Knitted Leaves:

  1. Cast on 3 stitches.
  2. Row 1: Knit into the front and the back of the first stitch, Purl 1, Knit into the front and the back of the last stitch
  3. Row 2: Knit
  4. Row 3: Knit into the front and the back of the first stitch, K1, P1, K1, Knit into the front and the back of the last stitch
  5. Row 4: Knit
  6. Row 5: Row 3: Knit into the front and the back of the first stitch, K2, P1, K2, Knit into the front and the back of the last stitch
  7. Row 6: Knit
  8. Row 7: Row 3: Knit into the front and the back of the first stitch, K3, P1, K3, Knit into the front and the back of the last stitch
  9. Row 8: Knit
  10. Row 9: K4, P1, K4
  11. Row 10: Knit
  12. Repeat rows 9 & 10 three times
  13. Row 16: K1, K2tgr, K1, P1, K1, K2tgr, K1
  14. Row 17: Knit
  15. Row 18: K1, K2tgr, P1, K2tgr, K1
  16. Row 19: Knit
  17. Row 20: K2tgr, P1, K2tgr, K1
  18. Row 21: Knit
  19. Bind off.
  20. Tuck in loose ends with crochet hook and trim.
  21. Create 8-10 leaves.

Small Knitted Bulky Yarn Pumpkins:

  1. Cast on 20 stitches leaving a tail about 24 inches long.
  2. Row 1: Knit
  3. Row 2: *K2, M1 by knitting into the front and back of the loop, repeat from *
  4. Row 3-20: Knit
  5. Row 21: *K1, K2tgr, repeat from*
  6. Row 22: Knit
  7. Cut yarn, leaving a tail about 24 inches and thread through remaining stitches. Pull to tighten. This is the bottom of your pumpkin.
  8. Stuff pumpkin with fiberfill.
  9. Place cast on tail onto yarn needle and thread through remaining stitches.
  10. Pull to tighten. Do not cut tail or remove needle.
  11. Using the cast on tail, thread yarn from top of the pumpkin over the outside of the work and up through the bottom. Pull slightly to create the shape of the pumpkin. Repeat this process, spacing the sections out evenly (about 6-8 sections total).
  12. Tie off on bottom when finished.
  13. Use crochet hook to tuck in any loose ends.

I-Cord Stem:

  1. Cast on 4 stitches with scrap yarn onto size 8 double pointed needles.
  2. Do not turn work.
  3. Slide work to other end of the needle, pick up yarn and knit from the back left of the work.
  4. Knit 4.
  5. Repeat this process until you reach your desired length of stem.
  6. Bind off and tuck in ends.
  7. Use fabric glue and place a dot of glue at the top hole of the pumpkin.
  8. Place your stem.
  9. In order to tuck it in nicely you can use a toothpick or pencil to push it down toward the fiberfill.
  10. Create 6-8 pumpkins.

Small Knitted Pumpkins:

  1. Cast on 28 stitches leaving a tail about 24 inches long.
  2. Row 1: Knit
  3. Row 2: *K2, M1 by knitting into the front and back of the loop, repeat from *
  4. Row 3-22: Knit
  5. Row 23: *K1, K2tgr, repeat from*
  6. Row 24: Knit
  7. Cut yarn, leaving a tail about 24 inches and thread through remaining stitches. Pull to tighten. This is the bottom of your pumpkin.
  8. Stuff pumpkin with fiberfill.
  9. Place cast on tail onto yarn needle and thread through remaining stitches.
