SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Lily® Sugar'n Cream® (2.5 oz/70.9 g; 120 yds/109 m)
- 6 balls Beach Glass (011/2) or 710 yds/650 m
- Size U.S. 6 (4 mm) circular knitting needle 32" long or size needed to obtain gauge.
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
Approx 19" wide x 16" high, excluding straps
GAUGE
21 sts and 28 rows = 4" in stocking st
DIRECTIONS:
TOTE BASECast on 29 sts. Work back and forth across needle in rows as follows: Purl 2 rows.
1st row: (RS). K1. *K1. Sl1Pyf. Rep from * to last 2 sts. K2.
2nd row: Purl.
3rd row: *K1. Sl1Pyf. Rep from * to last st. K1.
4th row: Purl. Rep last 4 rows of Linen St Pat for 14", ending on a RS row. Purl 2 rows. Cast off.
TOTE BODY
With circular needle, cast on 180 sts. Join in rnd, being careful not to twist sts, and place marker for beg of rnd.
1st and 2nd rnds: Knit.
3rd and 4th rnds: *P4. Sl1Pyb. Rep from * around. Rep last 4 rnds for Texture Pat until Tote Body measures 14" from beg.
Next rnd: Purl.
Next rnd: Knit. Rep last 2 rnds twice more.
Next rnd: Purl. Cast off.

On a quick read of the directions I see NO mention of the straps, how long they should be or how to attach them.

Poor instructions. Disappointing!
No instructions for construction of the bag. Nor are there any instructions for handles. Looking at the handles in the photo, they do not look sturdy enough for any weight in the bag. Just part of the a pattern with this project.

Looks nice, but...
This is silly. Here is a lovely tote bag and there are no directions for the handles, no directions for assembling the bottom and he body - Aggravating!

easy enough pattern to follow to make a nice size bag, but there are no directions for the straps so I will need to wing it.
