FINISHING
Fold the Main Part in half so cast on edge and cast off edges meet. Place Hand Cover on top of folded Main Part with cast off edge at fold. Orient 3 layers with the fold toward you.

With 2 strands held tog, using crochet hook, join yarn with sl st to lower right corner. Working through all 3 thicknesses, work 1 row of sc around 3 sides of Potholder, working 3 sc in each corner. Leave Top open. Fasten off.

Braided Leather Hook Cut suede lace into four 10" [25.5 cm] lengths. Tie 3 strands tog with an overhand knot approx 1" [2.5 cm] from bottom of strands. Feed through potholder at lower right hand side (folded edge), and pull through until knot meets potholder. Braid tog until approx 1½" [4 cm] tail remains. Undo knot. Bring braid ends tog. Align end of 4th length with other ends, and wrap strand 4 times around bundle. Do not pull too tight. Tuck the spiraling end of the lace up the 3 wraps. Holding on to tassel ends, pull taut to secure. Trim end.
