M1 (make 1) An increase worked by lifting the horizontal strand lying between needles and placing it onto the left needle. Knit this new stitch through the back loop - 1 st increased.
PATTERN STITCH:
K1, p1 Rib worked in rnds (over an even number of sts)
Rnd 1: *K1, p1; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 2: K the knit sts and p the purl sts.
Rep Rnd 2 for K1, p1 Rib worked in rnds.

NOTES:
Pullover is worked in one piece in the rnd from the neck downwards.
Piece is divided at underarms then body and sleeves are worked separately in rnds.
Stranded colorwork patterns are worked over yoke, following Charts. Read all rnds of Charts from right to left. When working in stranded colorwork, carry yarn color not in use loosely across WS of piece.
When you see 'work even’ in the instructions, this means to continue on in the pattern st you have established without changing the st count by increasing, decreasing, or binding off.
