Quilted Christmas Potholders

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 12" Squares, Main Fabric, 2
  • 12" Squares, Front Pocket, 2
  • 1yd Fleece Interfacing
  • 1 pkg Single Fold Binding
  • Basic Sewing Supplies

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut two 12" squares for back of potholder from main fabric and 1 square from interfacing.
  2. Cut two 12" squares for pocket and 1 square from interfacing.
  3. Sandwich the interfacing between the two main fabric pieces and pin. Quilt.
  4. Sandwich the interfacing between the two pocket fabrics, pin and Quilt.
  5. Trim the main piece of potholder to 10" high and 9" wide.
  6. Trim the pocket to 8" high and 9" wide.
  7. Round off the two bottom corners of both pieces.
  8. Pin the back to front pocket.
  9. Starting at top left corner, sew the seam binding around potholder, leaving a 6" tail at end.
  10. Fold the tail to back to make hanger.
